My Best Teacher

“A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.”
―Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
Behind every Successful person, there is a great teacher who awakened the hidden talents within that person, and my teacher Wafaa who inspired me to learn was that person.
She was my biology teacher in junior high school who made me love biology and study it. At that time, I was very addicted to math and I didn’t care that much about geography when her amazing way of teaching inspired me and caught all of my attention.
After few days of meeting her, I knew that she lives in the same area I was living in, so I saw her regularly every day because we used the same bus to come to school. In fact, students in my class didn’t like biology and I was the only one who gave her full attention. As a result, I became her favorite student; therefore she appreciated my care about the subject.
We started to have more conversations about my dreams and future and she gave me great advice which is still in my mind. She became my friend more than my teacher and was very grateful that I had this teacher who gave me the courage and made me more confident to go through my future without any worries or fear.
She taught me at that school for 1 year and then I moved to another school but I always remember her and her words to me. Unfortunately, i lost contact with her since 6 years. I always miss her whenever I think about my future, her words come to my mind, and I hope I’ll meet her again someday.
